AJ, Founder of Jayfrankofilms

I’m AJ, the founder of Jayfrankofilms. As a young man, my photography journey started in 2017, whilst travelling. I worked abroad in Gambia, Greece, Mexico and New York, and I realised how much I enjoyed capturing special moments. For my natural style it’s all about anticipating a beautiful moment and being ready, and that’s when my journey begun.

As I have developed, I have discovered my love for telling a story through film and photos. I believe the story of a film is the most captivating part. Storytelling was used centuries ago to captivate audiences, whether it was spoken, written or performed on stage. Today, storytelling has transformed to pictures and films, giving us images and stories we never could have imagined ourselves.

A good story will entice anybody into a film, think of your best movie? it’s the story that you love, right? I soon realised, to capture the content I want, I need a team. But not just any team, a team that understands how I work. A way to capture different angles, moments and candid emotions.

To do this, we use professional equipment and software that are all focused to fit the purpose of capturing weddings. From the editing software, to the camera memory cards, everything is purchased for the sole purpose of wedding content.

My life has always been focused around sport: Football, Basketball, Athletics are all sports I have grew up playing. I love being active. But Filmmaking and Photography offered me something I had never experienced. A way of expressing creativity. Capturing special moments is a drug to me. it’s something I need to function, it’s something I love and enjoy and always think about.

Fast forward to today, My team and I capture weddings in a creative, minimalist, yet storytelling function. We focus on composition, lighting and the art of capturing natural moments and turning them into a film for you to remember forever on.

As a team that specialises in Photography and Film for wedding days, we focus on telling a story of the natural moments captured. For me, when you are comfortable and having fun, the best content happens. My laid back and relaxed character encourages natural moments, it’s these moments you will cherish forever.

I enjoy the art in capturing moments, and I enjoy making people happy. There’s nothing better for me than a beautiful reaction to you watching your film or seeing your pictures. To make sure I give all my couples this level of happiness, I limit my workload between 10 - 15 weddings a year. I offer a service that creates the happiness I believe a wedding day deserves. Wedding days are personal, the second most important day of a couples life to having a child. For me, my couples deserve my outright dedication and devotion to ensure my couples are happy in every way.
